Funny how they simply HAD to go through it all. *snort* Sure, guys, whatever. Enjoy the dicks. It takes one to know one, after all. I guess I should just be glad they can't see what's on my computer.
Yaoicon was fun, in terms of getting to meet up with people I haven't seen in a year, and those I know from online (including PiedCrow from y!G, so now I can FINALLY get her commission to her even though I can't get that site to load to save my life). Met up and chatted a lot with =temporary-glitch, who is one of the awesomest people ever to be awesome and who was a fantastic supplier of much Xigbar/Vexen and Vexen/Xigbar numminess (plus some sexy Vexy love and some Vexen/Replica stuff, BWAHAHAHAHAHA). >3 I shall be very stylish and open about my OTP at whatever convention I head to next. I got to hang out a lot with ~vejiita4eva and her posse as well, which was fun. I ate way too much fried/unhealthy stuff, and WAAAAY too much candy to be sure. OAO Must get back on diet, rargh.
Sales were way down, but that's not really all that surprising. I had a limited amount of very specific stuff, thanks to illness and time constraints, and it sounds like business was slow for everyone. It was interesting to discuss how the trends toward market buying have changed with PiedCrow, and to hear from other artists that I'm definitely not the only one who was hurting for sales (though being the utter n00b with only KH stuff, I probably hurt more than the rest). That's what I get for not fapping to the fan trends toward Naruto, Bleach, and Hetalia, LOL.
Took a tour around the dealer room, but it was pretty bleh. Most of my spent cash went toward badge commissions, a sketch commission from ~vejiita4eva, and some Hetalia pins and a badge for ~chowdahxhead, because my schedule means that I haven't even gotten to draw her birthday present yet, much less send everything. TAT I AM SO SORRY AUUUGH.
For those who stopped by at the convention, or sent their ambassadors to say hello, it was great to see you/hear from you! For those who could not make it, I'm trying to at least break even for the trip through online sales (and I know some of you said you'd be keen on that). So, if you're interested in ordering a keychain or cell phone strap, sticker, or magnet, or wish to get a custom chibi badge commission or something, Note me or comment here! I also have some stuffed paopu fruit left, though not very many.
Prices:
Phone charms, keychains, paopu fruit: $4 first (shipped), $3 each additional up to five, add $1 shipping for 6-10
Magnets: $3 first (shipped), $2 each additional up to 5, add $1 shipping for 6-10
Stickers: $2 first (shipped), $1 each additional up to five, add $1 shipping for 6-10
Mini OrgXIII plushies: $35 (shipped)
Full-sized OrgXIII plushies: $90 (shipped)
Paopu pillows: $25 (shipped)
Chibi commission: $25 (includes shipped charm/keychain, or a laminated badge for those wanting badge commissions)
I can ship multiple keychains, etc. together in the same package for reduced shipping. Up to 5 can be shipped for a $1 shipping charge, 6-10 can be shipped for one additional dollar. So, one keychain would be $4, two would be $7, three $10, and so on. Just add an additional dollar to that progressive total for quantities of 6-10. :3
I currently have all of the chibis shown in my 2009 series upload available, plus cranky scientist Vexen in his Organization coat. Luxord and Demyx are still in the works, but should be available within the next couple weeks.
Thank you, and it was great to see everyone! ~thru-apeture-eyes, Xiggy should be on his way soon, now that I'm (hopefully) no longer snowed in. It was like OMG, teh swinez and then a blizzard right after. DX

It was definitely not as much fun as I've had in past years with regards to doing stuff, because I basically sat at a table for two solid days and didn't end up with anything to show for it.
On the other hand, mingling with the artists meant that I was able to get some good commissions (and since things were slow for everyone except, like ScuBu, Inc., they were happy to accept them). And I got to meet some great people. So it kinda balanced out, though I wish that sales had been better.
It's really annoying when people just glance airily at your merchandise but take an entire fistful of the candy that you've put out. I mean ffs people, take one or two, NOT eight Reese's cups. DX

Just... y'know, decency please, people. We should not be your sole source of caloric intake. :\
