You know, much worse has been done on this site than pointing out someone's logical fallacies and disagreeing with the repulsive, paedophilic pairings which they patronize. Maybe those people should learn to just keep their mouths shut rather than antagonize people, and then have to call in their Big Bad White Knight when the mean ol' grump makes them cry.
ATTENTION, WORLD! THIS IS NOT THE SNUGGLENETS! Please pick up your big kid panties at the door and learn how to cope with the fact that people are not going to like what you like, and they are going to be VOCAL about it.
I will never understand why people think that internet = rainbows and sunshine 24/7. It doesn't work that way, people, I'm sorry to say. This is especially true for fandom. And yet for some obtuse reason, people expect everyone to warmly embrace things that they detest, if only for the sake of keeping someone's special little feelings safe. Oh noez, someone thinks your pairing is revolting and isn't afraid to tell you. Quick, call the waaaaaaaaahmulance!
Apparently I need to find a 'safe place' to vent now, or the etiquette police might come and take me away. e_e
Also, either my usual post-convention sniffles/sore throat/etc. are kicking in, or I have swine flu. OMG YAY. (Because it's not like, you know, I have a shitload of tests tomorrow and Friday, or anything like that.)
Devious Comments
I'm going be as blunt and vocal as hell about my dislike for...it, but as much as its very existence makes me want to crawl out of my skin, I avoid it when possible. (Which is why I don't watch you, tbh. Love your style, but my inbox is already enough of a minefield without any more...surprises. Generally I drop by when someone goes 'o hai did u see' and gives me a direct link that bypasses...everything else.) And I sure as shit don't go -looking- for it. And when I stumble across it, I don't go OH MY GOD EWWWWWW in the comments. I'm usually too busy hitting the back arrow fifteen times and swallowing down bile. But that's their turf, which means I'm not going to bring trouble to it.
But gods help them if they bring it to -my- door. Which you...don't do that often, so we manage to strike a more or less unruffled relationship. You don't mention it, I try desperately not to think about it, and we're all good.
And yeah, for not being made of sweetness and creampuffs and light on my own page. e_e Someone decided to actively -track down- things I said (which while not omgfluffy were not threatening, just displeased and blunt) and report me for them. And then have the balls to lecture me on etiquette.
'Scuse me, but I'm not the one -hunting down- other people to bitch at them. I work from home and don't pay house calls unless someone asks for one.

That reminds me of some 345 I'm supposed to draw for someone. >3 (Xigbar is totally taking pictures, so he's around the pic as well if not in it. Bwahaha.)

I will not 'chill', thank you very much. I do -not- bring the subject up because it frankly repulses every fibre of my being. I am bringing nothing on myself, you're the one dropping it on my doorstep. And when you leave shit on someone's doorstep, you can expect them to be upset. You come parading in here with your little defensive squadron and things you know I hate, and expect me to be warm and inviting? Seriously?
Why should I have anything cheery to say to someone who is so rabidly in love with that which I hate the most, and -brings it to my territory- on a routine basis, knowing the reaction that it will inspire? And then blames -me- for their actions, to top it off?
You have -got- to be kidding me.

And if I shared any of that to you before, I'm very sorry. I don't think I realized you loathed it so much until a bit later, so again. Sorry. XD' Since you don't watch me, would you mind if I dropped a note every so often if I upload something you may like?
Dang, I'm sorry about that. Personally I think you're one of the cooler Deviantartists out there because of the fact that you're not afraid to voice your own opinions. It takes some e-balls to do something like that when what you dislike so much is so popular.

Well, at least you used binding. I see too many cosplayers that don't even bother.

And notes would be lovely. <3 I really do enjoy your work, it's just... Yeah, minefield. And I really don't like the taste of bile. -_-
And my e-balls are pretty damn big. KH isn't the first fandom I've had this issue with. Try being part of the Aubrey-Maturin fandom and 'shipping Aubrey/Pullings while -actively disliking- Aubrey/Maturin, the fandom's pet pairing. PiedCrow and I were talking about that over on y!G as well. Few people openly voice their hatred of things in fandom because they don't want to stir shit. Apparently they forget this isn't the snugglenets.
Also I will never understand why it's popular. At least I -get- Aubrey/Maturin, even if I don't want to have anything to do with it.

People who can't seem to wrap their head around a non-snugglenet internet should be forced to sit and watch/read/look at a marathon of 2Girls1Cup, Goatse, Encyclopedia Dramatica, and everything else the bowels of the internet has to cough up.
